Juniper Communities chief executive officer (CEO), founder, and board chair Lynne Katzmann has announced the promotion of two key senior leadership team members, underscoring the company’s commitment to nurturing internal talent.
Chuck Hastings, formerly the chief financial officer, assumes an expanded role as president in addition to his current responsibilities. Hastings will focus on day-to-day operations and financial success.
Amy Purcell has been appointed vice president of sales. In addition to continuing to drive sales success at the community level, Purcell will focus on higher-level sales strategy and enablement.
Nikki Strong will join a Missouri lobbying firm representing numerous health care clients, including the Missouri Health Care Association (MHCA), but will continue to work with MHCA as a direct consultant to MHCA’s new executive director.
Meghan Travis Henderson will serve as MHCA’s executive director. She comes to MHCA from the Missouri Hospital Association, where she has served the past seven years. Henderson has also worked in the Missouri House of Representatives as a legislative analyst.
Mt. Carmel Rehabilitation and Nursing Center has named Rachel Lentine as its new administrator. Bringing 25 years of experience in senior care, Lentine will now oversee the operations of the Manchester, N.H., skilled nursing facility.
Lentine was promoted to the role after serving as Mt. Carmel’s director of nursing for the past 11 years, during which she played a pivotal role in upholding the facility’s high standard of care. In her new role, Lentine will manage the daily operations, furthering its mission to provide the highest levels of skilled nursing rehabilitation, long term care, dedicated memory care, and supportive services.
Cassie Dunham has been selected as the new CEO/president of the California Association of Health Facilities (CAHF).
Previously, Dunham was the deputy director of the Center for Health Care Quality at the California Department of Public Health, where she demonstrated a commitment to skilled nursing facility patients/residents and their quality of care. Her expertise and vision will be instrumental in guiding CAHF into a new era.
Florida Health Care Association (FHCA) has elected Julie Morris as its president. Morris has served as vice president of operations for Aston Health. As president of FHCA, she will lead the 30-member board of directors and will focus her term on strengthening partnerships across the continuum of care.
Morris has worked in long term care for over 30 years, both in nursing home administration and regional operations. She has spent most of her career actively involved with FHCA. She previously served on the FHCA Executive Committee as senior vice president, treasurer, and secretary; has served on the board of directors as both a region vice president and district president; and has also chaired the association’s workforce and annual conference committees.
Covenant Living Communities and Services has promoted Cory Kallheim to general counsel. Kallheim has been with Covenant Living for nearly two and a half years, serving as vice president and associate general counsel. In his new role, he will be responsible for overseeing all legal aspects of Covenant Living’s operations, ensuring the organization remains compliant with all relevant laws and regulations, while also supporting strategic initiatives.
Covenant Living has also appointed Tanya Mazor as vice president of philanthropy for the organization. Mazor comes to Covenant Living with a depth of experience, previously holding key positions with the Jewish Home and Care Center Foundation and Milwaukee Center for Independence.
In her role at Covenant Living, Mazor will be responsible for oversight on all aspects of the organization’s philanthropic initiatives, including donor engagement, fundraising campaigns, and partnerships with local and national organizations. She will work closely with the directors of philanthropy and partner with the board of directors to develop and implement strategies that support long-term philanthropic sustainability.
