​ ​The American Health Care Association and the National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL) launched a new video series on March 25 that aims to bring national updates on COVID-19 to computer screens around the country.

The videos are designed to give long term and post-acute care providers a national update straight from association President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mark Parkinson and answer frequently asked provider questions.

In the first video, he talks with AHCA Chief Medical Officer David Gifford, MD, about what do if staff or residents are potentially COVID-19 positive and if the center is running low on personal protective equipment.

“I know how hard you’re fighting against this virus and fighting for our staff and residents every single day,” said Parkinson. “This is the first in a series of videos where we’re going to update you on what’s happening with COVID-19 from D.C. and really more importantly what you should be doing in your buildings.”
